Britt Abisdid, CEO & Founder of Dontouchmycrown. A Philadelphia native but raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Before starting her own business in May 2020, Britt gained experience as a Network Engineer for IT companies and schools. With over 12 years in IT Engineering, Project Management, and Business, she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey. In 2008, she spent two years at Villanova University before relocating to California for a career opportunity and new life experiences.

 I created Dontouchmycrown because I was tired of buying products that never worked for my hair texture with toxic ingredients. It was a problem that most of my community with natural hair were experiencing too. After 2-years of research, discipline, and dedication, I formed Dontouchmycrown. In May 2018, I began manufacturing Dontouchmycrown natural haircare products that we released to the public in May 2020.

Dontouchmycrown started empowering and supporting the Black community in their haircare journey by offering products with clean ingredients. It was created For US by HER. As Dontouchmycrown thrived, She started sharing inspirational quotes to encourage individuals to embrace their natural hair. Those uplifting messages are now known as ‘Afromations’.
